The Division of Medical Oncology is involved in the clinical research and treatment of hematological malignancies and solid tumors. Faculty and research (staff) physicians provide complete medical services for the community at large at the Howard University Cancer Center including consultations for inpatients or outpatient referrals. They are also responsible for supervising the oncology unit in the hospital.

Services

Oncology specialties include treatment of leukemia and lymphoma, breast cancer, lung cancer, gastrointestinal tumors, head and neck Cancers (solid tumors) and gynecologic tumors. Staff physicians offer consultations on any type of cancer.

Physician inquiries and referrals are generally initiated by contact with either all individual faculty physician or the Cancer Center Director's office. Division physicians generally request that patient medical records and pathology slides on the patient be forwarded to the office.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
