Doctors of Howard University Now in Silver Spring

Dr. Roxanne Smith White heads our Internal Medicine Service.  Dr. Smith White is an assistant professor and an attending physician in the Department of Medicine at Howard University College of Medicine and Howard University Hospital.  She is board certified in internal medicine.  She received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed her residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania.

Our Cancer Care, which is an extension of our Cancer Center at our main facility, is headed by Dr. Lori L. Wilson.  Dr. Wilson is an assistant professor and surgical oncologist in the Department of Surgery at Howard University College of Medicine and Howard University Hospital.  Board certified in general surgery,  she received her medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine.  She completed her residency at Howard University Hospital and a fellowship in surgical oncology at John Wayne Cancer Institute.

Dr. Peggy Scurry leads our Obstetrics and Gynecology Service.   Dr. Scurry is an assistant professor and attending physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Howard University College of Medicine and Howard University Hospital.  She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.  She received her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and completed a residency at Howard University Hospital.  She completed a fellowship at Howard University Graduate School.

The office provides a full range of orthopedic services, including hip and knee replacement, adult reconstructive surgery, trauma care and care for the lower extremities. 

Our Orthopedic Care is headed by Dr. Aham Onyike. Dr. Onyike is an assistant professor and head of joint replacement surgery in the Department of Surgery at Howard University College of Medicine and Howard University Hospital.  Certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Onyike received his medical degree from New Jersey Medical School.  He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at Howard University Hospital and a fellowship in adult reconstruction at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Dr. Damirez Fossett oversees our Neurosurgery Care.  He specializes in spine and brain surgery.  Dr Fossett is an assistant professor and director of the Division of Neurosurgery in the Department of Surgery at Howard University College of Medicine and Howard University Hospital.  A graduate of Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, he is board certified in neurosurgery.  He completed his residency at George Washington University.
