Howard University Hospital
A private, nonprofit institution, the Hospital, through the Office of Graduate Medical Education, is the nation's only teaching hospital located on the campus of a historically Black university.
 

 

Howard University Hospital (HUH) offers post graduate training in cardiology, dentistry, dermatology, family medicine, internal medicine and several subspecialties, neurology, obstetrics and gynecology, ophthalmology, oral maxillofacial, orthopedic surgery, pathology, pediatrics, pharmacy, podiatry, psychiatry, and general surgery.

The Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs strive to prepare students from diverse backgrounds for their chosen medical careers. The programs emphasize the total educational experience of the resident, providing the knowledge, skills and values that serve as the basis for excellence in clinical practice, continual learning, scholarship and community service.
