The Gastroenterology Section offers comprehensive clinical services relating to diseases of the digestive tract, liver and pancreas, such as esophageal diseases, peptic ulcer, pancreatitis, Crohn 's Diseases, ulcerative colitis, acute hepatitis, chronic hepatitis and cirrhosis. Its specialties include diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic techniques of the upper and lower G.I. tract including ERCP, endoscopic removal of polyps in the colon and stomach, laser therapy of obstructive luminal carcinomas, and sclero-therapy of esophageal varices.
