General Information
The Howard University Cancer Center, established in 1972, offers comprehensive cancer care including a full range of diagnostic services, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, surgery, and clinical trials. Medical, surgical and radiation oncologists work together with pathologists, radiologists, specially trained nurses and radiation therapists in determining diagnosis and appropriate treatment for cancer patients. In addition, the Center offers community outreach programs, counseling, and prevention and detection programs.
